Barbara MacAulay Ore
In her 34 years as an employee at Country Day, Barbara MacAulay Ore worked as a pre-kindergarten assistant, sixth grade teacher, counselor, director of admissions and development, interim head of school, head of the lower and middle schools, and associate head of school. She received Country Day’s Francie Tidey Award for Excellence in Education in 2005.
In 2006, she officially retired but has remained active in the Country Day community, serving as the coordinator for Country Day’s Grands and Friends association. Her two grandchildren, Hannah and Charlotte, attend Country Day.
Barbara joined the board of trustees in 2018.
